MySQL was released 30 years ago, in 1995. It’s a very old, stable and boring system. This is why I like it. It backs most of the internet and most PHP applications as well. But still, we don’t even utilize 50% of its capabilities.

In this article, we’re going to explore a few of its lesser known but very useful features. Things like Common Table Expressions, window functions, partitions, and so on.
